RABBIS, PHARISEES, AND SAMARITANS:
WHOSE TORAH IS THE TRUTH?
Establishing the historical truth of our Written and Oral Torah traditions by making sense of the broader world of pure Second Temple-Era Torah scholarship. Their secrets, buried over time, preserved off the Jewish and Western academic radar, have become more important than ever.
(A 12-session Course Beginning with a FREE CLASS on Sunday September 3, 2023)
This is our most long-anticipated, adventurous, and ground-breaking course to date. Combining 7 years of study and research in biblical archaeology, 16 years of Orthodox Rabbinical Torah training and scholarship until 2018, together with the fruits of 6 years of broader textual and anthropological research among the Samaritan Israelites on Mount Gerizim and Holon. All in service of my life work: building the highest quality case for a Written Torah with oral tradition from Moses at Sinai.
We will present the extraordinary evidence and reasoning for:
We plan to bring in knowledgeable guest scholars from the Pashtun (Pathan) and Samaritan-Israelite communities.
In a time when a war on even the most basic tenets of biblical faith has reached epic proportions, it has never been more critical to fortify the foundations of belief.
Besides our ancient traditions, HaShem gave mankind the gift of modern academic discipline. Come become smarter with us by grounding your faith in HaShem, both through reason and solid, ancient tradition. Learn how quality field research and textual studies affirm the foundations of biblical faith, inform our understanding of how things most likely happened, and show how lost is our rational case without such solid grounding.
It all begins again with a first FREE WEBINAR on Sunday, September 3,* 8 pm Israel, 1 pm EST. (The class is two hours long, Q&A for another 30-45 minutes.)
“Why are the Samaritan Pentateuch and Septuagint so Important?”
How can we confidently say that these are missing keys of tradition that need to concern not only secular scholars, but Torah-observant Jews and Bible-believers of every stripe? We will discuss the concept of “Grandfather Text” to the Pentateuch (Torah). I will introduce my unique background in Anthropology, Orthodox Rabbinics, Biblical Archaeology, and 6 years of deep study within the Samaritan-Israelite community.
As always, video recordings will be available for course participants, just in case you can't make it in person to a given class.
