The following are the most popular lectures of Mori Michael Bar-Ron. Each one is a three-hour-long event, including a short break and good block of time for Q and A. He is happy to give any one of them to your community or school. He can be contacted at torathmoshe@gmail.com.
World-class Egyptologist David Rohl considers Mori (rabbi) Michael Bar-Ron the world's foremost expert in Proto-Sinaitic, the earliest Hebrew script in the world. In one of his most beloved lectures, here he will share the most up-to-date understanding yielded by my most recently published, funded academic research: inscriptions possibly inscribed by the entourage of Moshe Rabbenu (Moses).
Besides showing you what is written, he will show and explain, in layman's terms, what has most impressed his academic supervisor, Dr. Peter van der Veen of the University of Mainz, Germany (who agrees that his readings and interpretations are the most accurate): his ability to date them and other inscriptions to this specific time -- the very place in Egyptian history where world-class scholars are convinced the Exodus took place!
If they are correct, this work not only brings Moshe Rabbenu and key events of the Exodus narrative into the limelight of history, with the backing of actual physical writing that has every sign of his influence, but the results of his research now give support several points of tradition from ancient midrash as well.
All of this is coming, once again, to live audiences in Florida -- Join us! All of the above will be explained after giving you an introduction to the clear archaeological picture of the entire rolling episode -- Sojourn, Slavery and Exodus. Yes: it all truly happened. Mori Bar-Ron will even share, strong archaeological evidence for the Plagues of דבר-Pestilence and מכת הבכורות-the Death of the Firstborn, precisely where this pattern should be found according to Torah chronology. Let alone ancient Egyptian sources from this time that give jaw-dropping testimony.
While deeply engaging, the workshop contains no exaggeration nor hype. With the support of mentors and colleagues, the case he brings is very robust and presents a huge win for Torah tradition. On Wednesday the 21st, it will strengthen our individual emunah, our Torah faith.

This talk, very similar to the one above, reveals the amazing, solid archaeological evidence that reveals Yosef HaTzaddik to be the most archaeologically well-attested-to biblical figure.
In this lecture, I reveal, in a detailed, humble, yet engaging manner --again, no exaggeration or hype-- the emptied pyramid tomb of this great vizier, how we can be so convinced that this is Yosef, and the seal impression found in the well-excavated ruins of his palace. That is, the clear bastion of Beit Yaakov at Tell ed-Daba (biblical Goshen), at precisely the historical time when we would expect the Sojourn in Egypt to begin.
I explain the well-attested-to years of plenty and famine, and how, scientifically, we believe HaShem brought this about. The talk builds up to the earliest Hebrew inscriptions I've decoded, found at Wadi el-Hol along an ancient Egyptian trade road linking Thebes and Abydos.
Here, too, I focus greatly on how these finds reveal the truth in midrashic tradition. Once again, I stand on the shoulders of my mentors, and this robust case presents a huge win for Torah tradition and is certain to bring a great deal of חיזוק to your kehillah.
This well-practiced, very popular lecture has had excellent responses, both at synagogue venues I did in the States 5 years ago, in New York and in Chabad of West Boca, and at Migdal HaTorah Yeshiva in Modiin, where I lecture. Several people have told me what a chizzuk this was to their emunah.
While giving full respect and liberty to those who wish not to believe in evolution, what I do is to detach (I call it "liberate") findings of scientific world from their G-dless parshanut (interpretation), and then present several Talmudic and midrashic sources that suggest our Sages knew far more about the b'riah than most realize. I then show how leading rabbinical leaders over the last two centuries explained the Creation of life on earth by means of evolution has the deepest theological ramifications. We go further still, actually showing, Day by Day, how the Days of Creation truly match the picture reconstructed by the scientific establishment over the last two centuries, and how such discoveries are inspiring Jewish scientists to return to our spiritual roots.
I go far deeper, and train the audience in how to answer the toughest challenges posed by atheists: namely the vastness of cosmos (roughly 300 billion stars in our galaxy alone, with close to one planet in its "habitable zone" per planet) and even the concept of the Multiverse: a favorite argument for deniers of HaShem.
It's an exciting lecture, and perfect for a crowd of baalei batim, many of whom struggle with these issues, or may have family that do. If this topic is deemed problematic, we can go with one of the first two. But experience tells me that this dynamite lecture will not only fill the house, but will really strengthen all in the sheer brilliance of chaza"l, and help many to realize the strength of our massorah in the face of the challenges of modern science.
